What we do

Three kinds of commercial work.

DE Custom Trades Ltd. is a COR certified, WSIB covered commercial contractor based in Halton. We renovate plants, warehouses, dealerships, offices and tenant spaces across the GTA, phased around your hours, and site reviews and written quotes are free. We do not build the box. We make the box work for the business inside it.

Who we build for

Built for the people who run facilities.

Plant managers, property managers, dealership and franchise owners. You need a contractor who passes safety screening, shows up when the schedule says, and does not create headaches with head office.

Plants, warehouses and distribution

Offices inside the box, lunchrooms, locker rooms and washrooms, safety rail, racking-ready floors and dock work.

Dealerships and transport facilities

Driver lounges, dispatch offices, service and wash bays, and yard upgrades.

Property managers and landlords

Tenant turnovers, common areas, envelope and site repairs, phased around the people still in the building.

Offices and showrooms

Glass partitions, boardrooms, kitchens and lighting that make the space feel new.

Bakeries, cafés and restaurants

Front-of-house that sells and back-of-house that passes inspection.

Retail, gyms and studios

Fit-outs that take daily punishment and open on the date you promised customers.

Tenant turnovers

Units and common areas turned around between tenants, on a date you can put in the lease.

Questions owners ask

Before you call.

Do you build commercial buildings from the ground up?

No. We renovate and upgrade existing buildings: interiors, tenant fit-outs, and exterior site work like envelope repairs, entrances, lots and yards. For a ground-up build we can refer you to a general contractor we trust.

Can you work while we stay open?

Yes, and most of our commercial clients do. We phase the work, build after hours where it makes sense, and keep dust, noise and access under control so your customers and staff barely notice.

What size of commercial project do you take on?

From a single washroom or office refresh up to full multi-room fit-outs and site upgrades. If it is a good fit for a crew of our size, we will tell you on the first call.

Can you meet our contractor prequalification requirements?

We're COR certified and WSIB covered. If your company uses a prequalification platform like ISNetworld, Avetta or ComplyWorks, let us know on the form.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry comprehensive General Liability Insurance that covers your project and our in-house team, and every specialty trade contractor on your job, such as electricians, roofers and HVAC technicians, carries their own liability and workers' compensation insurance before they are allowed on site.

Do you handle permits, code and accessibility?

Yes. Building permits, fire and accessibility requirements, engineering input and inspections are part of our scope, and we coordinate with your landlord or property manager where needed.

What do we get at turnover?

A deficiency-free walkthrough, warranties, as-built drawings and occupancy documents, plus a contact who still picks up the phone six months later.
